We had a real winter cold stretch here last week- snow, single digit temps, cats and dogs refusing to go outside. It was rough. Or it was just business as usual here in Colorado in the Winter. Your call. At least I’m not in Minnesota anymore (shout out to all my childhood friend who are still there- bundle up).
To amuse myself I started putting together a ‘Winter Playlist’ with songs that mentioned snow or winter. Then it seemed like it would be more fun if more people participated- which it most definitely was. I posted a request for winter themed songs on sm and boy did a buch of folks deliver- churning up some tunes I knew but had forgotten about, and some I had never heard of. The Bangles mule-kick cover of the Simon and Garfunkel song “Hazy Shade of Winter” has been in heavy rotation ever since. So here you go, this is the Winter Playlist.

This weekend (Saturday 5-7pm, or until they kick us out) me and the fellas will be at Very Nice Brewing in Nederland to rock your socks off while you drink good beer (and order excellent pizza from upstairs). Then, and wow, it’s been a minute, I’ll be back at The Rock Inn in Estes Park for a solo evening on Sunday (5-8pm). 2023 is very much in progress. There are some shows on the calendar already, but there are also a lot of balls in the air, as it were. Stay tuned for more dates coming soon.
