December. Cold. Kinda grey. Snow. Wind. Cold. Grey. End of the year.
December. Cold. Snow. Skiing! Holidays! New Year!
I guess its sort of a glass-half-full/empty sort of thing. I go back and forth myself. It is the time for wrapping things up. It is the end of the year. It’s also the time to start thinking about the next year- remembering that all time is a completely arbitrary construct and ultimately meaningless. How do you take it this time of year?
In the end-of-year category, the last two shows of the year are coming up. This Saturday (12/9) me and the fellas will be at Black and Blues in Loveland for our last trio show of the year. We have a few new songs to play, John will say silly things, I’ll try to remember the words, and Derek will do his best to keep up all together. It’s be awesome.
On the 15th I’ll be at Very Nice Brewing in Nederland for the LAST SHOW OF THE YEAR! So that’s the wrap up.
And then 2024 will descend on up in all it’s glory. Or whatever. I’ll be working on having some new music ready for release with the New Year (that works well), rehearsing some new songs, and maybe even some recording. Have you given Bad Messaging a spin yet? Please do!
In the mean time, if you want to help out indy artists, remember that buying merch is always the number on thing you can do. If you’re pinched for cash, but still want to do something, following on your streaming platform, joining the email list, subscribing on youtube, or just liking and sharing posts are all free, and all make a difference. Take two minutes right now and go do some of that for your favorite artist. Do it. Now.
I hope your journey to the finish line of 2023 is good, and your start to 2024 is also good.
Be well and see ya out there!
